“Wine improves with age. The older I get, the better I like it.”

Updated February 2026 with additional details, tour comparisons, and tips.
Located in the heart of Temecula Valley wine country, Europa Village Winery & Resort feels like stepping into a European countryside retreat with its distinctive French, Spanish, and Italian influences woven throughout the property. From warm stucco façades, cobblestone pathways, and vineyard-lined views, every corner is designed to transport anyone who steps inside into a world beyond Southern California.
The main highlight is that the culinary, architecture, and tasting experiences are divided into distinct European “villages,” each with its own personality: C’est La Vie (French), Bolero (Spanish), and Vienza (Italian).
In addition, each of the villages’ tasting room offers curated flights based on the region they represent. The friendly staff will go over the flavor notes, regions of inspiration, and production process, too.

The resort features 40 boutique rooms and suites, including inn accommodations and private villa-style stays, each designed with warm European-inspired details and modern comforts.
I stayed at the hillside inn, which is located just next to the main resort. Although it was a short drive to the winery and tasting rooms, the distance made the stay feel quieter and more relaxed. After spending the day exploring and enjoying tastings, it was nice to return to a peaceful space away from the busier areas of the property.

Dining at Europa Village Winery & Resort is centered around two distinct yet complementary restaurants: Bolero Restaurante and Mercato di Vienza. Bolero’s menu leans into shareable plates and vibrant dishes that pair beautifully with the resort’s Spanish-style wines while Mercato’s feels more like a casual Italian dining experience due to popular classics such as wood-fire pizzas, pastas, and gelatos.
As of now, the resort is continuing to expand, with plans to introduce a French-inspired restaurant to the property in the near future, which I’m looking forward to going when it happens.
My Review

Hotel: Europa Village Winery & Resort
Location: Temecula, California (about 1 hour north of San Diego)
Design: European-inspired villas with Tuscan and Mediterranean influences
Rooms: Boutique inn rooms & private casitas
Key Highlights: Vineyard views, on-site tasting rooms, immersive wine experiences
Dining: Bolero Restaurante + Mercato di Vienza
Best For: Birthday escapes, romantic getaways, girls’ wine weekends
Vibe: Romantic, old-world charm, resort-like
Surrounded by what felt like endless vineyards, old-world architecture, and holiday lights, this was a birthday getaway I didn’t know I needed. Visiting during the weekday meant the wineries felt quieter and unexpectedly serene. It was a gentle reminder that turning another year older, much like wine, isn’t something to rush. It’s something to savor. Just like Europa.
