I’m thrilled to share that I was recently interviewed by STYLEFAV for their Spotlight Interview series — a moment that feels both exciting and a (very) full circle.
When I first launched The Minimalist Maximalist, I envisioned it as a digital space to explore the balance between simplicity and self-expression. A place where neutral palettes meet bold statements, and where intention meets individuality.
Yet over time, it’s evolved into more than just a fashion blog…
It’s become a living journal of style, perspective, and personal growth.
In my conversation with Tyla from STYLEFAV, an e-commerce destination known for its thoughtfully curated mix of brands – from established names like Levi’s to emerging designers, we discussed the inspiration behind my blog’s name, the evolution of my aesthetic, and how I curate an intentional online presence that reflects both my minimalist principles and my occasional maximalist preferences.
Here’s a Sneak Preview

Q: What inspired your Instagram handle @theminimalistmaximalist?
A: For a long time, I’ve struggled to find some sort of ‘label’ for my own sense of style as I’ve always enjoyed keeping all my outfits simple while adding extra embellishments and playing with layers. So, I figured – why not combine both?
