A 3 Day Stay at Temecula’s Ponte Vineyard Inn

“Wine is the poetry of the earth.”
— Mario Soldati

Set in the heart of Temecula Valley wine country, Ponte Vineyard Inn is one of several vineyard hotels in Temecula that make for a relaxing and immersive wine country stay. Surrounded by what feels like endless rows of vineyards, gorgeous manicured gardens, and scenic mountain views, the property offers a peaceful escape just minutes from some of the top wineries in Temecula like Europa.

Designed with Spanish Mission-style architecture and modern amenities, this Temecula wine country hotel features spacious guest rooms, on-site dining, wine tasting experiences, and a resort-style pool. Guests can enjoy vineyard walks around the property as well as free tastings at Ponte and Bottaia Wineries (this only applies for those who are staying at the inn) — making it an ideal choice for those looking to experience the beauty of Southern California wine tasting without leaving the property.

The inn offers 60 spacious guest rooms with a modern, contemporary feel — a subtle contrast to the more rustic vineyard setting just outside. Many of the rooms, including the one I stayed in, feature private patios or balconies with views of the vineyards and/or pool.

What stood out most were the thoughtful amenities: plush linens, oversized glass showers, and in-room coffee and tea, all of which added an extra layer of comfort to the stay.

Designed to complement the relaxed rhythm of wine country, there is a mix of elevated and casual options available on-site — from a full-service experience at The Restaurant at Ponte and Bouquet Restaurant, where seasonal, wine-friendly dishes are paired with vineyard views for a more refined meal to the Poolside Bar & Grill, which offers shareable bites and refreshing drinks for midday lounging.

Meanwhile, The Cellar is a cozy, wine-forward space ideal for unwinding in the evening with small plates and a glass in hand.

On-Site Wineries

Ponte Winery
One of the largest wineries in Temecula, Ponte prides itself on year-round vineyard care and modern viticulture techniques to produce consistently high-quality, estate-grown wines.

Bottaia Winery
Italian-inspired and locally crafted, the space feels sleek and contemporary, a contrast to the traditional vineyard setting. Bottaia focuses on small-lot wines and immersive tasting experiences.

I had a truly relaxing experience at Ponte Winery Inn, with its sweeping vineyard views that made it easy to slow down and fully take everything in. The atmosphere felt calm and inviting, and the customer service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. It’s the kind of place you find yourself lingering at a little longer, just to enjoy one more glass and the scenery.
